So rather than looking in the newspaper for what is the hot trend and then jumping on it, I look within myself and site – podster.fm, see what is knocking at my door to pursue. That may or may not coincide with the newspaper. I will have more fun and more success by following an “inside out” news reporting than and “outside in” reporting.

Sound marketing strategy is critical to small business success, especially new businesses. Statistics vary widely depending on the source, but most reports cite failure rates for small business at 65% — 90%. Knowing ahead of time how you will compete and how you will succeed in your marketplace can dramatically increase your chances of success.

If you do not know what network marketing is, there is no reason to give up. The fact of the matter is that network marketing is quite easy to understand; it is exactly what it sounds like. With network marketing you get your name out there by talking with other people, and making industry contacts. The more people that you know, the better chance you have of making sales. And remember, the contacts that you make have contacts of their own – their own spheres of influence. So in time, word begins to spread about your offerings.

Pillsbury’s edict effectively blocked Ben & Jerry’s from the services of the national distributors. What to do? Put on a clown suit!
